BiB/Oa: Do you think that a true community and an understanding can be achieved through music ? how do you reach a compromise and overcome differences ?
Ros : We all think that politics is very very important to all forms of creativity, what is the point in being creative if not to share ideas… if we´re all coming from a political starting point, its like a big debate, we´re constantly communicating and discussing ideas, and in my opinion thats what a community is all about, you dont have to agree, infact we need differences in order to function well. As long as there is some level of respect, obviously.
When i talk about discussion i mean both physically communicating directly, like talking about what youre doing, and also communicating through being creative…
Also personal politics are very important, like how you interact within your relationships with
people, so i think that it works both ways (understanding though music and music through understanding, no ?). We were involved in an event (mainly films, and art and music) recently called " a political feeling ? Ihope so ! " that was curated by a film maker/artist called emma heddich which was all about that ; how politcal activism works on a very basic personal level, how the way activists at greenham common interacted with each other effected their activities on a bigger scale, how they tried to communicate with the police on a very personal level, but also through music (they were singing in the faces of individual policemen " are you on the side of genocide ? which side are you on ? " etc)

BiB/Oa : Going back to the label, do you have any other releases planned ?

. irrksome 002 the Robotnicka cd album (electropunk band from Dijon) that we´re doing as a split with other labels (Bloodlink in the USA and Maloka in France)

We're also doing something in conjunction with Local Kid (a collective putting on UK tours for bands and starting a vegan café in Bristol), its gonna be a local kid split 7 " series, the first one is probably going to be the Gossip / the Battys (tbc)
