Bib/OA: What is the song called then?
Hanne: Close to the Water.

Bib/OA: Did you modify it a little bit?
Merete: Yes, it is modified...totally.... rearranged.

Bib/OA: And the other songs just came following some patterns of creativity?
Merete: Well, sometimes I get some inspiration, I get into the right mood, and everything just comes on its own, kind of. It is very special when it happens, a very good feeling. That is also when I write the best songs, because it is possible to write some sort of intellectually made songs, but in order to make something emotionally good, you have to be in the right mood, take your time... being slightly depressed helps, I guess.

Bib/OA: Do you find your music sad, or depressing?
Hanne: Dark music at least... not depressed, but rather melancholic, and dark and electric at the same time.

Bib/OA: What influences do you have?
Merete: I think we all listened to a lot of different types of music and then we all met somewhere.
Thormod: Yes, I think so too, you listened to a lot of country music.
Merete: Yeah, Country and jazz
Thormod: I used t listen to music that sounds quite similar to what we play, I think. Bands like Cocteau Twins, Cranes, and that type of bands. That is almost ten years ago, though. You develop your music taste throughout your life, and you end up listening to a lot of different things.

Bib/OA: Was Dive your first band?
Hanne: No, we all played in several unknowned bands.

Bib/OA: Was it usually the same type of music?
Dive: No, not necessary
Merete: I played in a band called Nancy Jutblat (sorry for misspelling), a bit harder, gothic style
Hanne: I played in a band called SightSee (same apology). It was only people with totally different references. It was strange a mixture. We were 4 people and everybody made songs... so it got a bit chaotic.
Thormod: I played in a couple of other bands as well, but I took a break during my studies, and I only started a couple of years ago.
Hanne: Majon (again...)... it was kind of a style in itself, wasn't it?
Thormod (laughing): Yeah, I guess, it was more rock, with some pretty psychedelic elements here and there... a bit like Dive, I guess

Bib/OA: Beside the recording of the new tracks "live in the studio", do you have any other plans?
Hanne: We'll have a break, because I am pregnant.
Bib/OA: Congratulations!
Hanne: So we'll probably have a break until the Autumn, and then play concerts, record, and use our website.
Merete:We are also planning on making a video, sometimes this spring. We'll try to do it simple, but with expression. All the info will be on the webite, anyway... and we try to update it regularly.
